Georgian Wine

The country of Georgia is confusing to many Americans.. since they share same name as state of Georgia (do they have any local winery in the state of Georgia ? I doubt it.. )
but, this country produces beautiful wines with their very own traditional way. I was fortunate enough to learn about this country and try their wines. so.. I could not not write about it. : )

FYI..
The country of Georgia gained its independence from Russia in 1991 and it is the northeastern neighbor of Turkey. now.. you know where this one cute wine producing country is.. If my memory leads me right, they also have about 5,000 years of history of making wines.. (correct me if I am wrong... )
Last year.. this clay bottle of Georgian wine at my local liquor store caught my eyes and came home with me to celebrate Thanksgiving dinner. I was surprised by it’s unique character and lovely taste.
Georgian sweet red wine made with late harvest from local Georgian grapes. (It comes in a traditional clay bottle as well as a regular glass wine bottle)
From wikipedia..
Khvanchkara is a naturally semi-sweet red wine made from the Alexandrouli & Mudzhuretuli grape varieties cultivated in the Khvanchkara vineyards, near the town of Ambrolauri in Racha region of western Georgia [4]. The Khvanchkara wine is one of the most popular Georgian semi-sweet wines. Along with Kindzmarauli, it was the favourite wine of the Soviet leader Joseph Stalin[5][6]. It is of dark-ruby color. It contains 10.5 - 12.0% alcohol, 3 - 5 % sugar and has 5.0 - 7.0 % titrated acidity. The wine has been manufactured since 1907.
To me.. this wine was sweet and fruity with smooth finish.. It was great with cheese plate and bruschetta.

Face Oil

Rodin Olio Russo luxury face oil

I've tried few face oils on the market and finally arrived to my final destination. I can not say it does any great magic, but my 32 years old skin feels very soothing and comfortable. You do not want to use the products that gives you great change.. lots of them uses harsh chemicals or steroid..

I still like Kiehl's midnight recovery oil, but Rodin is THE ONE for me as I tried barneys NY's generous amount of sample for about 2 weeks.
(I recommend my friends to get a sample before they buy it. Usually every beauty counter is very generous about it if you ask for it.)

Pros
not too greasy, not too heavy, not too strong perfumed, comfortably sinkable onto my skin
(sensitive, normal to combination skin, easily react to harsh chemicals, seasonal & hormonal breakouts)
my skin looks dewy and bright. makeup falls on smoothly.
It can be used day & night. I am finishing up my moisturizer and will only use this beautiful oil as day & night serum and moisturizer. (slimming up my skincare routine.)
Also, it is a muti-tasker. it was also used on some Ralph Lauren models on runway for spring 2010 with foundation for their dewy look.

cons
$140 for 1 oz. High price (higher than any face oil that I've tried before)
not sold in every department store. (barneys.com or check rodin's website)
